Joy is a superb caregiver who our family was fortunate to have found. She cared for my mother who struggled for over twelve years with a major stroke paralyzing her right side and significantly impacting her ability to speak. She assisted my mom with everyday activities which most of us take for granted. Joy prepared meals for my mother; helped her to eat; lifted and then transported her in her wheelchair when she needed to move and made her comfortable when she was trying to relax. She actively engaged with my mom providing vital range of motion exercises; massaging aching muscles; and just as importantly, keeping her company throughout the day. Joy read to my mom (something mom could no longer do for herself), helped her find interests in games or TV shows and rolled her outdoors to simply look at the water and enjoy the day. Joy brought order to our household and was selfless in her efforts. We will always be grateful for her kindness and her help.
