About Joy

I've been going on 20 years as caregiver for the elderly. I've been with a home care agency since 2005 and have also cared for my grandmother for years. I can do really good basic homemade cooking, cleaning, taking people to appointments, doing errands and have experience with bathing and personal care. I am not an officially licensed CNA in Virginia but I am certified in my company to do personal care which is equivalent CNA work since I took the training in December 2012. Even though I am not officially licensed yet with the state, I do have a lot of experience with my grandmother and other people. I also am able to do light transfers from the bed to a wheelchair and things like that. I have so many interests that there is always something that I can enjoy to do with people like taking walks, playing card or board games, watching movies, reading, and many other things. I really enjoy helping people and feeling like I've made a difference in their lives.
