I'm a mother of three grown children and seven grandchildren. I worked for the school district as a child nutrition manager for 23 years. I retired three years ago and have been enjoying traveling and spending time with my family. I am a widow and am now looking to find something to occupy myself. I love being around people and helping others. I would love to be able to be a companion and help to the elderly. I have reliable transportation and my hours can be flexible. In the last three years I have worked with three clients. I assisted with meal preparation, medication, dressing, and basic everyday needs. The first client passed away and the second client's family is no longer in need of my services. The third client recently passed away. I recently moved back to Texas after living in Alabama with my son and am looking for work to supplement my retirement income. I am available immediately. Joy took special care of my 95 year old mother in law. She was with us to help my ailing mother in laws evening activities. She became not just a caregiver but a friend and part of our family! She helped her eat, get ready for bed (including brushing her teeth!), read her daily devotional, and sang beautifully to her to get her to sleep! Joy has a special gift of patience kindness & lots of love! She helped my husband & I have peace knowing she was taking great care of my MIL!
