Dear parents my name is Joyce, I have been a caregiver for children for more than 20 years. I started working as a baby nurse for two years then I transitioned to a nanny. I worked for families most times starting the same day they brought their newborn home. When I was a baby nurse I gave newborn babies sponge bath (until cord comes off), then transitioning to a tub bath, diapering, sterilizing & preparing bottles, soothing and calming techniques for baby and much more. As a nanny I cared for babies to school aged children. My job is caring for babies, feedings, meal preparations, laundry, tidying, playing, walks, reading, enrichment classes, playdates, and providing a secure environment. I love working as a nanny its so wonderful to watch babies as they grow and meet their milestones. Joyce has been a wonderful nanny for our family over the last six years. What saddens us most about our departure from the US is that Joyce can't come with us. Joyce began working with us when our first son was 4 months old. Her infant and childcare experience has been invaluable to us. We learned a lot from Joyce over the years and have been grateful for her guidance and support in so many areas. Joyce takes a very professional approach to her work. Throughout her time with us, Joyce took her own initiative to instill routines and systems from which our whole family benefited. She takes a lot of pride in the care of her charges, and this is evident to all who come in contact with her, from teachers to other nannies and parents. Most importantly however, Joyce is a joyful, loving and patient carer. Our boys were always safe and happy in her care, and they love and respect her deeply. She will be missed by us all.
