About Joyce

Hello! I am an experienced, fun, and qualified early child care teacher. I initially worked locally assisting parents in the home from age 11. I transitioned into more formal childcare as time went on and began instructing art classes for after school programs. I graduated college with a degree in Early Childhood Education and began formally teaching Preschool at an independent school in 2019. My passions include the arts, music, animals, nature, and yoga. I believe in positive discipline, growth mindset, and responsive strategies combined with a play-based approach. My philosophy of teaching is that every child is entitled to advocate for themselves in developmentally appropriate ways, and deserves to be appreciated for their uniqueness.
