I have 2 and 5 months years of experience as a nanny here in the United States. In a nutshell, Joyce is incredible! It is evident that Joyce loves caring for children. She took excellent care of my son. She gave my 7-month-old son agency while providing a safe and caring environment. She also provided structure and routine, which included - playtime - improving motor skills - reading - outside time - music time - Portuguese, Spanish, and ASL - naps - Age-appropriate meals with a combo of baby-led weaning and purees One of Joyce's most effective techniques was her use of narration. She would narrate everything she did with my son, from preparing meals to changing his diaper. This approach includes saying, "Okay, time for food. I am going to place you in your highchair." It helped my son feel like a person with agency, understanding what was happening to him and around him. She is also not shy about being silly, making funny noises, and using facial expressions to make my son smile and laugh. At the end of each week, Joyce provided a report with an overview of the entire week, which we truly appreciated. We would 100% recommend Joyce to anyone looking for a beautiful soul to care for their child or children.
