About Joslin

As a part-time elementary educator under a nonprofit organization hired through LAUSD, I work directly with underserved communities to provide safe, engaging spaces during after-school hours-times. These are highlighted times when students are most vulnerable to risky behaviors and falling behind academically. Guided by our program's commitment to emotional health and wellness, I am trained to support students through traumatic situations and to foster a nurturing environment. I focus not only on academic growth but also on helping students build essential social and emotional skills. My goal is to empower each student with the tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
