About Josephine

I love working with kids, and I worked in childcare starting as early as middle school. I have cared for kids ages 3 and older, and am comfortable helping with homework since I used to tutor as well! I like working with kids because they are 100% themselves. They don't feel the same pressure to be something they're not that most adults do. I love hearing their perspectives on things and learning how they feel. I also love having a tangible impact on their lives by teaching them, even if it's something as simple as a new color or a math skill. I started working with kids when I was in middle school on a volunteer basis. When I was old enough, I started working during the summers at a local K-8 summer camp and as an assistant Girl Scout leader. One thing you should know about me is I prioritize safety above all else. I'm very upbeat but safety comes first. I am not afraid to say no when a child's safety is at risk.
