About Josephine

Hi! When I was 5 years old, my oldest sister had her first daughter. I began caring for my niece for the next 15 years, and gained a lot of knowledge in child-care during that time. My nephew was born was I was 12, and I was immediately trusted and comfortable in caring for both him and my niece whenever needed. From 13-20, I became a go-to babysitter in my area. I have cared for infants as young as 3 months, to teenagers up to 15. My family is full of social-workers. Through them, I have learned skills regarding special needs/ at risk children. I was originally attending school for SW, and spent two summers as a care-giver for programs in Portland, Oregon. My best attributes while working with children are my patience, enthusiasm to engage with their interests, crisis aversion and knowledge of how to communicate with any age.
