Hi! My name is Johnna and I am new to the state of Maryland! My family and I transitioned here last year when my husband left police work to pursue a career in the military. I currently hold a master's degree in social work and have completed the 3. 5 years necessary to obtain my clinical license. However, plans changed when my sweet son was born! I am now a stay at home mom to a 15-month-old and hope to use my skills to provide care for a family in need! My background in childcare spans many years. As a young person, I was constantly nurturing my cousins and younger family members and when I was old enough, I began caring for various families in need. I've cared for newborns, busy toddlers and even teenagers! I've been the head teacher at a daycare facility! As a mother, I know how tender it is to leave your child in someone else's care. It would be my joy to provide a safe, nurturing environment for your child and an approachable and reliable relationship for you as their parent!

I was impressed with Johnna day one! We have 4 children, ages 7, 10, 11 and the youngest at the time was a 4 month old daughter with, by that time a major heart operation and a few catheter procedures already under her belt. Leaving her at home with a stranger, no less, was not an easy task! When Johnna first came to the house SHE interviewed US with pen and paper in hand! She had a bright face, was well dressed and well spoken. We hired her on the spot! She didn't disappoint! She took it upon herself to do some research in areas with the baby's development that we were concerned with and showed up day 1 ready to put in work! The baby, as you can imagine, was afraid of everyone in the world but Johnna! We were very very sad when she moved away for college and I have spent the last year begging her to quit and come back!!! It's not working!!! I have had a lot of success with Care.com but Johnna was by far the biggest success story.
