I began learning French 6 years ago when I was working in a local bakery. There I became close friends with several French workers who taught me the basics of the French language. I later travelled to France for my first time, at the age of 19 alone in the city of Nantes. This experience left such an impression on me that I invested the next 5 years traveling to France, often up to 3 months at a time. In 2019, I decided to seek CEFR certification and attended France Langue Paris Notre-Dame, an accredited language school in the heart of Paris. Here my proficiency was evaluated and attributed the level of C1, corresponding to advanced/autonome and is the level proceeding native-like fluency. Since 2019 I have continued to travel to France and take advanced courses at UNCW, and am eager to share what I know with students and help them on their own linguistic and cultural adventure!
