About Johanna

Hello, parents! I am a special educator licensed in severe disabilities with 22 years experience. I specialize in care for children with disabilities (physical/cognitive impairment, level 3 autism, multiple disabilities, etc.). I teach part time with a flexible schedule, leaving plenty of room for helping families with respite and date nights! I am comfortable with transfers and positioning, incontinence/toileting, adaptive feeding (including g-tubes), nonverbal communicators, visual impairment, and seizure disorders. Please note, I do not have experience or training in managing severe behaviors and I do not know ASL. I am happy to help with pick ups, community outings, travel, overnights, etc. Regularly scheduled or as needed care both available. Non-disabled siblings also welcome! I'm willing to travel anywhere with some compensation. I am an attentive, empathic, engaging, and patient caretaker and I pride myself on my ability to connect with this special population of children!
