About Jo

Through past babysitting and nannying jobs, I have aided in children's learning primarily through reading with them. I love to guide kids through books and words and, depending on their age and reading level, have them read to me as I encourage them and work alongside them to build up their confidence in their ability. I also love to work on writing, spelling, and basic math. Helping kids learn teaches me as well, and I love seeing their self-assurance blossom as they grow to more deeply believe in their own intelligence and potential. I also firmly believe that there are many ways to learn and many types of intelligence, and will work hard to meet children where they are and build on their innate abilities.
