About Joan

I have worked in a residential dementia care home in 2022. I got a CNA certification in 2023. In 2024 I was trained and worked in two facilities as a medication technician. The last 2 years I do part time private care. I'd describe my personality as caring, emotionally intelligent and self motivated. I like caring for seniors because it's a way to continue service to others which has been the purpose of my life and the core of all my jobs. I'm looking for a job that does not require heavy lifting and frequent transfers. I started caring for seniors when I was in an acupuncture career specializing in chronic pain. In my spare time, I like to do tai chi, meditate and play the flute. One thing you should know about me is I am reliable and adaptable to many kinds of people and environments. My skills include understanding of fall prevention, maintaining conversations that interest them and finding activities they like to do and medication management.
