I have had many long-term positions - newborns, twin infants, toddler/preschool, school-age and special needs; I am blessed to still see the former families. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified (a given,) have a squeaky-clean DMV/BCI check; I am fully vaccinated. I have a passion for the arts; I am well-versed in children's literature; I love being outside in all four seasons, have reliable transportation and enjoy taking children on outings at the parent's discretion. (Although I am "seasoned" in age, I encourage prospective families to view me as bringing a grandmotherly-presence to children - still able-bodied, mature and nurturing, with no personal commitments to conflict with a family's needs.)

Joanne was my saving grace. She was absolutely wonderful with my 2 daughters (now 6 and 13) while she was with us. Unfortunately kids grow up, but we consider her family. My daughters still talk about her, and ask when she’s “watching us again”. So many good memories they had with her. She would always have some little project or craft for them to do, or walk them to the ice cream place up the road. She was great with all our pets (although they are relatively well behaved) and would tidy up (dishes and what not), which was never expected. She was with us through thick and thin, and was the best caregiver I could have asked for. To this day, we still chat, and I am happy to call her my friend and part of the family.
