About Joanne

I am a career nanny with over 11 years of experience in full time nannying. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and I also studied psychology in college. I had a teaching fellowship at Harvard University as my first job out of college and earned the Bok Teaching Certificate there. I am a loving, warm, patient, and empathetic person. My childcare journey started early in life with my younger brother, who has high functioning autism, I helped my mom with him a lot, and in 6th grade I also started one on one tutoring for other children who hadn't yet learned to read in his Kindergarten class in an effort to help him feel more at ease in school. I adore seeing children experience the world around them and facilitating their exploration of learning with an active parenting style. With my extensive experience in art education, I feel that I bring a unique perspective to nannying that allows me to create strong bonds with the children I care for.
