About Joanne

I started babysitting when my cousins were born. I come from a pretty big, tight knit family. I'm the oldest of my family, so I was always the one who was making sure they ate and stayed safe when their parents weren't home. I then went on to volunteer in my church's daycare program, working specifically with children 1-8 years old from when I was 13 until I went off to college. As I got older, I babysat for other families in my neighborhood, and also participated in school programs where I would help tutor younger children in subjects they were struggling with, especially history (I love history!) In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, sing and listen to music. I do theatre as well! One thing you should know about me is that I'm very passionate about everything I do. I bring myself to everything and I want the people I interact with to be able to feel that I'm being genuine and real with them. I feel like if you bring passion to your work, it improves it.
