About Joanne

Life long animal lover and rescuer. I grew up on an animal rescue farm and have loved animals all my life. Have taken occasional pet sitting jobs through friends and the community, but I would like to do more of this rewarding work. I've been a pet owner my entire life, and I currently own two rescue cats, 3 rescued birds, and 2 fish. I am a 46 yr old single mother of a fantastic 2nd grader, and I am currently going back to school for social work and developmental psychology. I also work as a special education advocate in local schools. I love to garden, go on nature walks (especially with dog friends !), spend time with my son, and I love to cook as well. I am warm, attentive and trust worthy, and I have reliable transportation. My 3 legged, 3 toothed, 15yo, sassy as heck yorkie very much approves of Joanne. She's hard to please! My dog has extreme separation anxiety, and Joanne knows how to navigate that and keep her calm.
