I began teaching as an ESL instructor for 3 years at universities in China. Next, I taught in Ghana for 9 years, starting as a high school teacher and then moving to kindergarten to 6th grade. After moving back to the United States I was a Family Literacy Instructor for several years with the IU13. I then took time off to home school my two children from Ethiopia who joined our family. Next, I worked for many years as a Nutrition Counselor. For the past several years, I have worked for the IU13 and Lampeter School District as a substitute teacher, as well as watching my two grandsons two days a week.

I highly recommend Joanne for tutoring. If your kids need help with learning, Joanne is the one to turn to. My daughter recently transferred to a private school in Maryland with very strict acceptance standards. Unfortunately, she didn't pass the initial math and reading test. Fortunately, the school allowed her to retake the test, and that's when we found Joanne. Thanks to her exceptional tutoring, my daughter not only passed the test but did so with ease. We are incredibly grateful for Joanne's support and highly recommend her for anyone seeking a tutor for their children.
