About Joanna

Hi my name is Joanna. I am a caring and light hearted person who enjoys helping others. My previous caregiving experience was taking care of 90-year-old lady who was in early stage of dementia. The companion I took care of mostly used wheel chair to get around but sometimes would walk using walker. I assisted her with light walking. She lived in skilled nursing facility so I made sure her needs were met and the communication between her and the medical staff was clear. I ensured that she attended her physical therapy sessions and exercise classes. I was there to keep her company during meals, helped her with some grooming and gave support with emotional regulation. I would take her to entertainment, art, music activities that we both enjoyed participating in together.
