I have been caring for children since I was 17 years old. I started with the nieces and nephews that I have. I have six now (who half are mostly grown up). One of my first long term jobs required me to be a nanny with a set of twins for a doctor and his lawyer wife. I was their nanny for a year. Just recently, I was working at a child development center in the toddler room. I was there for several months before I took a leave of absence for a teaching abroad program in Mexico. I also have experience in working with children who have special needs. Most of them had a form of autism. I was a substitute for teacher aides through a program. I did this for about 2 years.
