Hello, my name is Joanna and I am 23 years old. My first experience in childcare started in high school. I was given the opportunity to take a class called "Exploring Childhood' which helped me learn about understanding children and how to properly care for them. During high school I was also a preschool intern and was able to experience; teaching, lesson planning and problem solving! As a childcare provider, my main focus is to give your child a safe and creative space to learn and grow as a person! After highschool, I worked at a daycare for a year and worked around the age of toddlers and infants. I have also worked for 3 families and have worked with children ranging from 5 months to 6 years old. I am currently looking for a part-time position, preferably 7:30am-12:30 p.m. because I am currently in school. My rates start at $22/hour for one child. I am CPR certified, first aid certified, and have my own car.

Joanna was our awesome nanny from September 2020 to April 2021. She lovingly took care of our two boys (ages six and two) during the pandemic while their schools were closed. They had so much fun with her! Joanna was always on time and the rare occasions she had to take the day off she gave us plenty of notice. She was always a calm and positive presence during a really stressful year. She helped prepare the boys meals, read and played with them, and occasionally helped our six-year-old with his virtual kindergarten classes. She also helped me out with some household chores like the boys' laundry and dishes. Our time with her only ended because our son's school opened back up. Otherwise she would still be working for us. She was such a blessing and I would highly recommend her.
