When I was in high school, I baby-sat for my teachers' two daughters for a year and a half and the youngest had Down Syndrome. After that, I attended Western Technical college in Lacrosse Wisconsin where I got the chance to partake in a practicum caring for children with special needs from birth until three years of age. From 2006 to 2007, I worked as a job coach at VARC in Reedsburg Wisconsin working with clients with special needs. My job responsibilities included task clarification, verbal support for activities, and helping them carry out their job to the best of their abilities. For the past two years, I worked as a job coach through GT Independence for my nephew who has Down Syndrome. I enjoy how children and adults with special needs find happiness in even the simple things that are often overlooked and taken for granted. I am an easy-going, patient, and trustworthy person who always strives to put others first. If interested, please contact me - Thank you.
