About Jessi

Hi! My name is Jessi, and I am delighted to introduce myself as your child's tutor/caregiver. I am currently a senior at New York University (NYU) studying Early Childhood Education and Special Education. My hometown is Chicago, IL, where I lived up until I began my time at NYU. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and cooking. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers in various New York City public schools as a student teacher. I have worked in PK, K, and 2nd grade, and am currently teaching in a 2nd grade classroom. Aside from student teaching, I have also spent the last few years working with Jumpstart and American Reads at NYU. Both of these organizations are aimed at offering tutoring support to early elementary students. In the summertime, I also spend my time working as a daycare teacher, working with infants up to 5-year-olds.
