I'm a single empty nester 59 years of age. I find the elderly to have so much wisdom and many stories. I understand the compassion and empathy it takes to take care of the elder as I cared for both my parents for 12 years to the end of their passing. Although it's been a few years I still miss them everyday. I understand and know how important it is to have someone who you can trust with your parent but that they also trust. I Cared for my elderly parents for 12 years and expected the person who would help me when I had to go to work to ensure they would care as much as I did. I would take my parents to all Dr appointments, did all medication distribution to include insulin shots, their bathing and physical therapy, friend, companion, all meal prep.
