About Jessie

I started out as a equestrian vaulting coach for children of ages 5-17, which involved my constant vigilance of up to 10 or more children at a time around and on top of horses. This led to parents asking me to babysit in my free time, which led to a particular job where I became a full-time nanny to one of my students who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. After this experience I was inspired to be a nurse. I did my externship in nursing school in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and have worked in pediatric home care. I now work in an acute care hospital as a medical/surgical and telemetry nurse, but am looking to do some child care on the side. I like being active and getting outdoors as much as possible. I also enjoy liberal arts, cooking, and reading. I am PALS(pediatric advanced life support) and CPR certified in case of emergency.
