About Jessie

I have over 11 years of work experience, four of those years babysitting and nannying, six years in education (four years of tutoring ages 5-16 and two years in outdoor education and garden teaching with ages 5-16.). I am incredibly safety-minded and have been first aid/CPR trained 5 times with plans to renew in Sep 2021. I love spending time outside whether it be the park, beach, or hiking in a nearby green space, and I have a lot of knowledge of local flora and fauna to share with kids! I also love art and music and have experience creating art curriculum for kids. Another passion of mine is growing, cooking, and eating healthy delicious food, which is a passion I love sharing with the kids I work with. Additionally, I grew up around cats, dogs, hamsters, lizards, and horses so I really love taking care of animals. I even worked on farms where I cared for chickens and ducks. I've also fostered three high needs dogs who had high behavioral needs as well as medical needs.
