About Jessica

I have three years of volunteer teaching experience, two of which were as the assistant teacher, which included reexplaining concepts, helping with assignments, and spelling words for new writers. I taught as I babysat a 2-year-old, which included teaching him how to draw, color, create diverse crafts, count, letter recognition, do various types of puzzles, scavenger hunts, and grow his vocabulary. For a month, I worked as an assistant teacher at a daycare, which included teaching students how to write their names, letters, and numbers. I also taught twin toddlers and reviewed flashcards with them as I babysat them. I have experience with teaching or tutoring toddlers who have speech delays. I have worked with toddlers who were behind caught them up and got them to be more advanced for their age. I am great at play teaching with repetition. This helps toddlers learn a lot and will help older kids. I provided homework help and tutoring for middle school through high school students.
