Hello, Choosing a nanny is one of the most important decisions parents will make and I am hoping the following information about myself makes your decision a bit easier. Above all, I believe children learn best through play. This theory drives my practice with young children whether working with them in their home, school or clinical settings. I love to incorporate a Montessori approach with young children using natural play materials and open-ended learning projects that follow the child s interests. I work to develop an environment that encourages children to be curious about the world around them and active in their own learning and development. My work with children focuses on the process, not the product. I have worked with young children as a Family Support Specialist, Child Development Specialist and Clinical Behavior Assistant. I have extensive experience working with special needs children (including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorders, speech/language disorders, ADD/ADHD, behavior/emotional disorders and developmental delays). I have written and led numerous trainings and workshops for teachers on topics including building relationships with parents, developmental milestones, behavior management, classroom environment, and lesson planning. On a personal note I am the proud mom of the 2 greatest dogs in the world. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes and cultural cuisines. I am an avid traveler; the more stamps in my passport the better. I m a huge fan of music, going to concerts and I d like to consider myself an amateur photographer. I m looking forward to meeting you and your family!
