Hello Parents! I'm Jessica, and I have many years of babysitting experience! I feel one of the best parts of babysitting is bringing my passions to my time with children. Whether it means knitting a fun project, getting creative with a fun collage, or teaching some American Sign Language, I always aim to make it enjoyable! If I had to pick several words to describe myself, they would be reliable, trustworthy, caring, and patient. I have a Master of Arts in Social Emotional Learning, a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies, and an Associate's degree in Elementary Education. After many years working in schools as a Social Emotional Learning Specialist, as well as a Children's Librarian at a public library, I launched a business, Focus on Abilities (a Social-Emotional Learning Center). I know Jessica when she was the children’s librarian at the Barton library. She is fabulous with children and routinely went above and beyond for Storytime hour. She offered programs such as partnering with the local art club for painting, cooking classes with Green Mountain Farm to School, and my personal favorite - the American Girl Doll tea party. As an ASL instructor, Jessica also dedicated Storytime hours to teaching children and their parents sign language. Even after the library, Jessica made sure to organize weekly playgroups with the children at local playgrounds. Anyone who hires Jessica as a caregiver is incredibly lucky as she is kind, patient, understanding, and fun for all kids!
