About Jessica

Hi! I have been teaching in the public school system for about 10 years. I got my undergraduate degree at SUNY Purchase in NY. Ultimately I earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting and a minor in History. I eventually got my masters in Art Education from Syracuse University. I was tenured at Skaneateles High School in upstate NY for around 5 years and then ended up moving to Pittsburgh. I currently teach at Andrew St. High School in Homestead. I love sharing my love of the arts with others and my studies and interests are many so I can also teach writing, reading, and history as well. I incorporate these skills into my curriculum daily. I am passionate, kind, and patient. I love figuring out ways to make learning engaging and specially tailored to each student I teach. In addition, as a practicing local artist and an owner of a small business, I can bring my insight and experiences to the learning session if applicable.
