Hello! I am a current Ph. D. candidate at TCU studying English Literature at TCU. I also currently teach writing at TCU. I graduated with my masters and undergrad in English from RU. I have my teaching license and work part time as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center. I have worked for two years in the public school system in Virginia as a 9th grade English teacher. I clearly value education, but sometimes it can feel like the system doesn't value your student or their individual needs. I do! I know that confidence is key to a successful mindset.

Genuinely Jessica is one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. Her commitment to her students, research, and how to best support them is unparalleled. She meets students where they are when it comes to personal goals and learning styles. Jessica allows for learning to be a fun experience while also meeting academic excellence. She always seems to have an answer or a helpful suggestion to work through a problem or prompt. She teaches in a way that allows her students to be confident in the work that they are producing.
