Hello! My name is Jess, and I am a 23-year-old artist residing in Highland Park. I have 6 years of child care experience and I am CPR certified. I have a wide range of time and experience caring for children, mainly due to growing up in a home daycare ran by my mother for children ages 10 weeks - 6 years old. I was exposed to childcare all my life, but I only officially began working for her in 2018. I was tasked with preparing meals, feeding the children, cleaning/changing diapers, setting up art projects and crafts (my favorite!) and upholding routines and transitions. During my 6 years of experience as a daycare assistant, I have developed a lot of love for child care, and a strong appreciation for encouraging new personal skills and learning. I would describe myself as someone who is intuitive, compassionate, and creative. I have always connected with children and animals and felt like I had a natural ability to soothe and comfort.

Jessie was our chosen babysitter for my 6-month-old daughter for a year and displayed the utmost professionalism and care in doing so. I felt so relieved leaving her to Jessie’s care knowing that my child would be cared for attentively and with expertise. Jessie was an excellent communicator and always attended to the specific instructions we gave and needs our daughter had.
