I've been in the special-needs field for about four years now I grew interested in it, but I noticed the way a lot of people treated children with special needs this bothered me. I was always told that if you want to make a difference you have to be the difference so I decided to pursue, working with children on the spectrum and with other developmental disabilities my latest job was with a preteen that felt like he wasn't heard as I still visit with them because I became part of the family and occasionally still help with care. I left there being able to get him to socialize, which is something he wouldn't do participate in sleepovers even at family members houses, which was something that he was terrified of at the cut down on his medication with coping mechanisms that I helped him learn also being a mom I've treated all children as I want my son to be treated. I've been told this is my greatest strength, so when you say, do you love this field, I truly do.
