About Jessica
Experience: 17 yrs
I have worked with a wide age range of children for about 15 years in both a child care setting as well as private nannying. Most of my experience comes from working at Nova Southeastern University's Mailman Segal Center in the infant/toddler program. The children in my care have been as young as 3 months all the way up to second grade. I think it's important to provide a fun experience as well as educational. Therefore, I like to bring along some of my own activities, such as applesauce play dough. I also like to teach baby ASL to encourage early communication and language development. I have received my National Child Development Associate Certificate through Nova Southeastern University. This provides training in safety, age appropriate practices and activities, as well as other important aspects of child care. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. Current references available upon request.

Jessica is an educator and a caretaker. She seamlessly fits into the household and strives to be helpful and the absolute best she can be. It shows!! She goes above and beyond. Jessica should be thought of more as a home school teacher rather than a nanny. Yes she feeds, takes care of sanitizing, adheres to a healthy nap schedule, can do light housework, etc but she also applies age appropriate sensory activities and changes them daily. Jessica works on creative crafts, outside of the box sensory activities, and applies NAEYC standards and curriculum. Our family has referred her to others who are equally as pleased.
