About Jessica

I'd describe my personality as caring, compassionate, and outgoing. I like working with kids because I love children and care about their needs. The greatest job I have ever had is being a mom and I look forward to one day being a grandmom. I'm looking for a job that I can make a difference in a child's life and help the parents too. I would like to be an asset in a family home to take the stress off of the parents. I am currently a college student earning a dual degree to teach elementary students and to teach Special education. I have worked with many children with physical disabilities and with cognitive disabilities. I love reading with children and helping them in any way that I can. I have homeschooled my own daughter and my nephew. I love teaching and that's why I am in college now. I have worked with children with IEP's and 504s and I understand the strategies that are needed when children are struggling, academically and emotionally.
