I've had the pleasure of teaching as a Special Education Support Teacher in an inclusive setting, working alongside general education teachers, and teaching in a self-contained Social Emotional Classroom. With over seven years of experience as a Special Education Teacher in Illinois, Arizona, and Tennessee, I have acquired the skills necessary to be a flexible thinker, facilitate IEP meetings in an inclusive and self-contained setting, modified curriculum to meet the needs of multiple grade levels, and collaborate with related staff and parents. I have supported kindergarten through fifth grade and made it my mission to see my students succeed. Before becoming a teacher I was a nanny for two school aged children.
