After graduating college I worked as a Senior Residential Counselor at a boys' residential group home. I worked with emotionally disturbed and developmentally delayed boys ages 5-12. I am CPR/First aid certified, as well as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certified (Therapeutic Restraints.) I was also certified to administer medication to my clients. I am very passionate about working with children and I take my jobs very seriously. I understand that each child is different and therefore have different needs. I have always worked hard to find out what teaching/care giving techniques are appropriate for my individual clients. I am currently employed as a lead infant teacher at a daycare center, but I am interested in exploring alternative employment opportunities.
