I have been supporting folks with a variety of needs in their homes, in the community, providing job support, and in a school setting for the past eight years. I worked as a Personal Care Assistant while I was in college, and spent the past six years as an elementary special educator working with students presenting with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other medical/behavioral needs. I will be taking a break from teaching after a recent move back to the Capital Region, and am looking to support individuals in their homes or in the community. I strive to focus on independence, autonomy, dignity, and FUN for all clients/students I work with. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based lens.
