About Jessica

I have 30+ years of wide-ranging experience with babies and children, including: birth/postpartum doula (certified), preschool teacher, montessori teacher, and nanny to 10+ families throughout the years. I studied child development and early childhood education at ACC and Texas State (equivalent credits to associates +). I am also the lucky mother of two incredible kids (18 and 25) and recently became a grandma! I am an empathic person and a born nurturer and I have always been fascinated with and passionate about watching children learn and grow. I am particularly drawn to fostering a love of nature, art and reading. My research and personal experience based approach includes learning through play, modeling behavior, gentle guidance and redirection. I believe my role is to follow a child's lead by providing age appropriate stimulation and inspiration and creating a space for them to explore their natural curiosity. My goal is make children feel safe, validated, encouraged and loved.
