About Jessica

Hello families! I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland hoping to help families while home for the summer. I have babysat for 7+ years, caretaking for infants through high schoolers, in addition to holding various jobs in youth development. I took the American Red Cross' Babysitting Course, including first aid training. In high school, I took two Child Development classes, focused on early child development. I was an Assistant Theatre Coach at my local performing arts studio for years, working with groups of 7-15 students. As a summer camp counselor for campers ages 3-16, I facilitated arts, sports (including swimming), and nature exploration activities. I am a responsible driver with flexible availability, and am comfortable with pet care, meal preparation, and cleaning. I love time outdoors, assisting kids with reading or schoolwork, and creating a positive environment for the development of self-esteem, compassion, self-care habits, and team-work skills.
