About Jessica

As a nanny and babysitter for multiple families, I have over nine years of experience caring for children of all ages as well as children with disabilities. In my role as a caregiver for the O family which had two children, one being a newborn and the other a 6-year-old boy diagnosed with autism, I have learned to manage the diverse needs of children in different stages of development. I often am in charge of preparing the children's meals, monitoring their hygiene and giving the baby a bath, taking them out on walks, outings to the park and getting them ready for bed. During the day, we often play games, and read books. I am committed to providing safe, nurturing, and educational environments for children in my care. I have spent two years volunteering at Reading Partners as a reading tutor for under-resourced schools. I love helping children improve their reading skills and helping them with their homework. I am a PhD student at the University of Oklahoma studying Cognitive Psych.
