About Jesse

I have experience working with and tutoring children of all ages. While working as a nanny, I provided homework help to the two young girls for whom I cared. Throughout my college years I mentored and tutored at an elementary school and then a domestic violence shelter in Philadelphia. By my junior year, I helped lead the tutoring group at the shelter and developed a reputation among tutors and staff for success with disruptive and uncooperative children by showing them patience and compassion rather than frustration. Though I have not tutored in recent years, I have served as a supervisor and mentor to undergraduate students through my position as a research assistant. I feel comfortable providing homework help and tutoring for elementary and middle school aged children in all subjects; most high school and A. P. subjects barring Chemistry and Physics; and Spanish, Psychology, and History tutoring for undergraduate students.
