I am a certified elementary and learning disabilities teacher. For 8 satisfying years, I had to come up with different methods for LD students to learn and feel confident. I have been homeschooling for the past 24 years, my 2 sons through high school, and na daughter through her sophomore year. If your child is having trouble learning to read/comprehend or do math, I would love to help them discover that they can have success! I use hands-on activities whenever possible & make the learning relevant to their age. I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, an excellent multi-sensory phonics program. I have also taken a class for Touch Math. The student learns through using touch points on numerals which works for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
