I have been teaching kids with autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 10 years, and have been babysitting for over 15! I have experience with kids of all ages, ranging from infants to teens. My biggest strength with children is anticipating problem behavior and avoiding it before it happens, coupled with the patience of a rock. I don't give in to tantrums, but always make sure there's no room for negativity by providing lots of fun activities, an understanding tone, and a feeling of safety and warmth.
