I recommend Jennifer S. enthusiastically and without reservation as a home caregiver for any family with a person in need of care. We were extremely fortunate to have found Jenn two years ago, when my elderly loved one started to need round the clock care first in their apartment and soon in our home. We knew from the first moments of meeting her that Jenn was someone we could trust with our loved one and in our home, and she quickly became an indispensable part of our care team - so much so that I am not sure what we would have done without her. She quickly developed a great rapport with my parent, lots of listening and laughing and new ideas every shift for fun things to do, delicious things to eat, calming ways to rest. She even routinely brought things in specially to help boost our spirits and lives - ingredients for a new meal, just the right book, tomatoes from her garden - so above and beyond. Jenn is also highly informed and extremely intelligent. She understands disease progression and how to shift her care and the overall care plan to meet her client where they are. She caught things I missed - which made my loved one’s care much better than it would have been without her. She is also an excellent organizer - made order out of chaos in our home multiple times. Moreover, she has true commitment to the clients she serves. She told me early on that her goal is to stay with a client until the end, so she can come to know them and then use that knowledge to carry them through when things get tough. She did that for us and I will be forever grateful. It was so wonderful for both my parent and me to have her there through the end - physically since Jenn knew better than anyone how to make them as comfortable as possible and emotionally given their genuine bond. What a comfort and help and gift to us all the way through. You would be extremely lucky to have Jenn as a caregiver.
