About Shelby

Growing up, my family called me "the baby whisperer" and I couldn't tell you if that's true or not but I loved being around kids and always had a teacher/ leader mentality. I would set up "classtime" for my dolls and friends and teach lessons and plan projects. I have a huge family so I was always around kids and would plan shows with all of my cousins to then present to the adults. I then graduated to director of the shows once I was "too cool." The minute I turned 12, I got CPR and first-aid certified so that I could start babysitting and have continued to babysit ever since. While I was attending Oregon State University, I decided I wanted to go into business but to keep my teacher dream alive in some way, I worked at a nursery/daycare for over two years and through the pandemic as a lead teacher. I now have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and am back in the Portland area looking for a few jobs until I can get my feet on the ground professionally!
