I've been a nanny for 9 years now, ranging in ages 2-9. Most of my families have had some sort of special accommodations, such as autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, speech delay and/or autoimmune disorders, so I am very comfortable with learning medical needs and even assisting with physical therapy or speech therapy routines. On top of that, I also taught in Japan for 3 years. One year at a JHS teaching 600 kids a week, and the other 2 teaching kindergarten, as well as after school classes ranging in 18 months - 18 years of age. Outside of working with children, I've worked with animals for most of my life, so I've got a wealth of information on how to handle many species and love teaching children how to engage with the natural world. My current wonderful family is leaving me for a preschool that can accommodate his medical needs, and I'm so happy for my little guy to make many new friends.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have Jen care for our son as part of a nanny share, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! From the very beginning, Jen demonstrated excellent communication skills, keeping us informed about the kids' daily activities and any concerns. Her knowledge of child development was evident, as she always prioritized safety and was proactive in helping us navigate the developmental milestones that came up between ages 2-3. Jen's natural ability to engage with children is remarkable. She consistently encourages our son’s curiosity and desire to learn, taking the time to understand and nurture his individual interests. She often took the kids on enriching outings to museums, parks, and library story times. We always felt comfortable and at ease knowing our son was in her capable and caring hands. What truly sets Jen apart is her respectful approach to interacting with the children. She has a unique talent for speaking with them on their level, making them feel heard and understood. Jen is always kind, caring, and responsible, treating children with the utmost respect and love. Our whole family adores her, and we are so grateful for the positive impact she has had on our son.
