About Jennifer

Teaching children to love learning, have a growth mindset, and take ownership of their learner is my philosophy. My sophomore year of high school my heart told me that a career in teaching was the place for me, and I never looked back. I attend the University of Northern Iowa and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. Following graduation, I moved to San Antonio, TX where I taught for 10 years. While in Texas, I gained a variety of experience teaching 2nd-4th grade, all subjects, in private and public schools. 13 years ago I moved to Lone Tree, CO. I received a job teaching sixth grade at Fox Creek Elementary in Highlands Ranch and have been teaching there since. Teaching has allowed me to share my strengths with our youth and my colleagues: compassion, organization, patience, courage, respect, contribution, integrity, perseverance, and collaboration. I would love to be able to share my strengths with your child in helping make them successful in their area of challenge.
