About Jennie

I am the oldest of 8 children with an 18 year difference between myself and the youngest child. I began babysitting at the age of 12 and was employed full time at the age of 14 as a part time nanny for over a dozen alternating families while I completed my schooling in the evenings. I was a full time nanny at 16 and again at 23. I worked as the youngest counselor a Copper Creek Camp at 19 and specialized in 'the problem kids'. Due to my skills in handling every age group, infant to teen, I am described as the 'child whisperer'. I have worked in 2 different facilities with juvenile delinquents, even co-creating a theater program to encourage healthy expression, introspection, and empathy. Currently relocating to the Portland, OR area, I am a writer and editor and looking to supplement my income in the second trade I know best - childcare.
